Glanmire Park has been in the same family since 1873 and it is now being developed into one of country Australia’s largest residential master planned estates.

YEARS OF HISTORY

John Gorman arrived in Australia onboard the ship Garland in 1852 from County Limerick, Ireland.
John’s older brother Pat had arrived earlier in 1839 onboard the ship Wm Metcalf from County Cork, Ireland. John travelled with his four children only as his wife Margaret Gorman nee Murray had passed away prior to leaving Ireland. Catherine, Maurice, Mary and John Murray the youngest of the four children.
The family settled in Kilmore, 37 miles north east of Melbourne.

Naming of Cahill Road

Cahill Road was named after one of MurrayJohn Gorman's sisters.

Irish Origins

Green and orange is incorporated in the brand to pay reference to the Irish origins of the original family.
